Michael Dodson

A Printmaker and Painter based in DC & PA. He earned his BFA in Printmaking and minor in Art History from James Madison University. He's continuing his practice and working to receive an MFA in Studio Art at American University. His works focus on the self within time, external events, and the human psyche. Michael has received several awards, including the 2022-2023 Senior Achievement Award in Printmaking and the Outstanding Printmaker Award 2023 at James Madison University. His work has been showcased in the NASAD Accreditation, Solo Show, and Compendium Small Works Juried Show.

In progress work so far in my Masters program. Had our critique and got some good feedback as what to work on and research more into… Looking forward to where it continues.

One of my works got into the Small Works Juried Show! I had a great time with my friends and seeing the many other great works. I also re-designed the flyer to showcase my work and for a project. Stop by and check it out!

22x30”- Paper, Stone Lithograph, Mahter
